And here is a short summary of the nature of the plot synopsis:

"NO FATE BUT WHAT WE DO: THE END BEGINS

The human drama from the "Terminator Salvation" is set in a bomb attack against post-apocalyptic America in the wake of the Day of Reckoning.

"We are telling the story of the world after the Day of Reckoning," says McG. "This is the story of the fate of John Connor, the future of Kyle Reese, Skynet strengthening, and where our humanity is at last. This is the time when mankind has a stand against the machines."

In the long-promised "Terminator" future life, McG wanted to create a vision that is no less real. "I did not want to shoot green screen actors; Terminators wanted them to react physically," says the director. "I wanted the desolate American West, an extension that suggests a world of difficulties, and could try and feel it. Since the pumps are damaged and out of the ozone layer, the sky is a bit of a different color. Earth has a different quality, and immediately realize something is wrong. "

Director Jonathan Mostowa closed the first trilogy in 2003 with "Terminator 3: Rise of Machines", in which the terrible event of Connor (Nick Stahl) and his mother spent her life trying to avoid day-to-resolution through the rain nuclear war in the world of Skynet command. "Terminator 3" was co-written by John Brancato and Michael Ferris, who returned to the franchise to write the script for "Terminator Salvation." Brancato offers, "Since the end of the" Terminator "trilogy of the destruction of the world, we knew we could not return to the good of travel time-Terminators. The new film had to be about what happens after the bombs fell."
Ferris added: "We wanted to write about the long-predicted battle between men and machines, which also gave us an opportunity to change the overall tone of the franchise. The previous film took place in a familiar, contemporary world, this film is a film war, in a dark, post-apocalyptic future. "

"Terminator Salvation" takes place in 2018, 14 years after the nuclear attack that ended the previous "Terminator" trilogy. Producer Moritz Borman, who also serves as executive producer on "Terminator 3," he says, "From the outset, we have taken the decision that, like the previous films have been set in the calendar we know today," Terminator Salvation ' are beginning to reveal the future, which had only been seen in previous films. So we're jumping to the time that Kyle Reese was still a teenager and have not yet discovered what we know will continue, mainly travel time in the history in motion. In this film, we are finally in the midst of war he was warned, and we see the rise of Connor leading the resistance. Evious "Terminator" trilogy. In "Terminator Salvation," says Bale, "Skynet is dominant, but still in a state of evolution. Humans are definitely in the results. Their backs against the wall and your circumstances are desperate. This is the last, last effort for the survival of humanity. "

"Everything is difficult for humans now," McG testimony. "It's difficult to get food, the difficulty of obtaining energy. Everything is exhausted. And that is always being hunted."

However, Borman states: "There must be hope for humanity. There must be something in the way they live, showing they believe to be a future after the machines, that the world may rise again from the ashes. And his hope is, of course, as John Connor. "

Connor fight at the front of the Resistance, but not its leader. Skynet by the new developments have shaken their vision of the future, as I said throughout his life for his mother. She believes that the future has not been set, and his own doubts are increasingly unable to launch the live events that will lead to his own conception, namely, sending Kyle Reese back in time to protect your mother.

"John Connor does not know if he can become the John Connor that his mother spoke," said producer Jeffrey Silver, "because he knows there are many possible futures. This is an incredibly complex character and courage, and Christian was able to provide the type of image layers which demanded a very important role. "

John Connor, the man has become at once is an extension of his younger person and someone totally new. Bale says: "He is definitely a guy with a lot of trouble, said someone who has the future all their lives and assume the burden of that knowledge. But his mother told him that there is no fate but what we do, so knowing that, you can not just go hide and think that everything will be fine. He has to be out there fighting. And he is a fighter. I saw a lot like Achilles type character. It is someone who loves into the fray. But the battle with the soldiers every day dealing with the loss of good friends, and his fear that he is not the leader that people are probably expecting at this point. "

In addition to his confrontations with leaders of the resistance and fears about the strength and innovation of Skynet, a new element breaks vision Connor grew up believing in the appearance of a man whose existence has never been mentioned, a hybrid male machine named Marcus Wright. John Brancato says, "The crux of the story comes with the character of Marcus Wright, whose interior reflects the larger battle conflict."

Marcus Wright was the last memory of being put to death for committing a crime, it is not aware of how he came to this world or what your purpose is here. "Marcus has been on death row," said Sam Worthington. "He was put to death. But then he wakes up in this post-apocalyptic world and has to go on a surreal adventure to find out why he is not dead."

"Nobody really knows that Marcus is to start with," says Bale. "He is someone with a past, a lot of regrets. There is a theme throughout the movie you want a second chance."The concept of second chance is what has driven Dr. Serena Marcus Kogen found in the corridor of death. A scientist with the division of genetics Cyberdyne Systems, Serena is played by Helena Bonham Carter. "Helena has a very competent scientist who is working on the cutting edge of technology," says McG. "She is more motivated by the fact that she has terminal cancer. She really believes her research could give people like her a second chance, but his research is in the hands of Skynet, and the consequences of which are quite revolutionary for machinery. But she is, in fact, that Marcus is ready to donate his body to tell just what is' research ', and yours is the last human face he sees before he dies. "

Adrift in this strange new world, wearing clothes stolen and struggling to cope with what happened to him after "death," Marcus is a Terminator saved by a young assailant, played by Anton Yelchin, who identifies himself as Kyle Reese. "Marcus ends up in an abandoned building where the T-600 begins to shoot him," says Yelchin. "And out of nowhere to run in a child, and take care. And that guy is Kyle Reese. I heard say, as it did in the first film," Come with me if you want to live. "

Kyle, which eventually travel back in time to save Sarah Connor, at the moment is still a teenager, struggling to survive themselves. "He's Scrappy, gritty is a survivor," says McG. "I needed those qualities to be evident in a younger version of Michael Biehn, who played the adult in Kyle 'The Terminator' because our story takes place some ten-odd years before it was sent back in time."

Although Kyle listens to shortwave radio delivery by John Connor, the dream of joining him in the resistance, Connor is finding itself Kyle. "Connor is looking for Kyle Reese, who is his father, but at this point is still a teenager," says Bale. "Kyle has no idea of the important role they play in the future, and Connor could not say. You can travel back in time to really mess up," he smiles.

But Kyle is not alone in your journey. Star is accompanied by a period of nine years of age rendered mute by the trauma of war and displacement. Jadagrace played by Berry, Star has the uncanny ability to detect the presence of a Terminator before it appears, but, more importantly, their presence gives Kyle a greater sense of purpose. "She is the principal point of vulnerability for Kyle because he looks like his star primary responsibility," says Yelchin. "I think if she was not there, he would not try so hard, regardless of the Resistance."
"The kind of innocence embodied in the picture," McG said. "She embodies hope. You take a look on his face and say, 'That's what we're fighting. We want to keep people like this. This is the future." Unlike those who remember the world before, it has grown in a world that is governed by the brutality of the machines. It is because their sense of ability to come, so they can offer assistance every now and again. "

Surviving a day, Kyle, and now Star Marcus alternately threatened and are assisted by other humans who meet with refugees along the way, including Virginia, played by Jane Alexander. When the rest of his group wants to turn away the trio, Virginia insists on sharing what little they have the resources. Worthington notes, "The irony, of course, is that it is only here, where life itself is a challenge that Marcus experience true compassion and human kindness."

Marcus, Kyle and suddenly crashes when they are separated by an ambush of a Collector giant insect-like machine with multiple arms and legs you are looking for their prey and loaded onto a conveyor for carrying Skynet. Pursued by an army of Terminators from the hunter-mass murderers to the elegant, two-wheeled open-Moto-Terminators through kilometers of roads, bridges and rivers, and Star Kyle caught are ultimately deposited by the harvester and in a carrier, their fate unknown.
"That's part of the anguish of the machine world," says McG. "You do the best we could do as a human being, and is still insufficient. You can not beat these machines down. With everything that Kyle and Marcus shed therein, but not enough. That can not be stopped."

Having eluded capture himself, Marcus saves a downed A-10 jet pilot who was forced out for failing to rescue the human from the harvester. The pilot appears to be the impressive Blair Williams, Marcus takes it again with their resistance to the base. "Blair is a great fighter pilot and a survivor," says McG. "She really knows how to maneuver, destroy machines and, most importantly, stay alive. It has saved his life by Marcus, so it feels indebted to him."

On his way to the resistance base, Marcus was wounded by a landmine. Rushed forward in the rebellion, it is treated immediately by John's wife, Kate Connor, played by Bryce Dallas Howard. "In the years since the Day of Reckoning, Kate has become a doctor, the best training they can in these circumstances," Howard relates. "She finds a book and she spoke with the greatest possible number of survivors, learning different techniques that can save lives."
Kate Connor is also a partner in the ongoing struggle. "John is a soldier and Kate is a doctor, and in this regard are well bonded, formidable team," says McG. "Both have strong intelligence and willingness to lead. It is essential to find a Kate Connor would be worthy of leading the resistance, and I thought that Bryce has the elegance and intelligence to believe that she could indeed if the last word something happened to John Connor. Kate and Blair, both are in keeping with the tradition of powerful female characters in the "Terminator" movies. "

Kate is the first time that the body of Marcus has been changed into a new, previously unknown Terminator model: a hybrid with a human heart, brain and the outside, but inside the workings of a robot.

Completely unaware of its transformation, Marcus is overwhelmed by the awareness that his execution was only a prelude to a new state of being. "Marcus has metal arms and legs, but he still has a human heart and brain, and there lies the problem," says Worthington. "Is that enough to protect their humanity? He believes it is human, but the entire world around him than Blair believes it is the enemy that can Skynet. But I think this film explores the power of free will and choice through this character. Despite the increase in machinery, the human heart is real. "

"As soon as it is found that is a hybrid, there is no trust," said Moon Bloodgood.

"However, Blair believes that the value of Marcus and his struggle. She saw a part of what we never had the chance to see. He saved her life open to it. And Blair is not afraid to go against John Connor because their values are more important to her that is, or even beat Skynet. "

Connor, who acts as the eyes and ears, his second in command, Barnes, is assigned to monitor until Marcus can be studied. Barnes is played by actor and musical artist Common.

"Barnes is the spiritual warrior in many ways, the fight to the end Connor from the future of humanity, and that Marcus sees as a threat," says Common. "But, for the same reason, has been through a lot of things that force him to come to a spiritual understanding, about their struggle over the fate of John Connor, and many of them is related to Marcus."
As the situation on the ground changes, Connor cree their own strategies must also change dramatically, which is inconsistent with the recognized leader of the Resistance, General Ashdown, played by sci-fi veteran actor Michael Ironside. "Michael Ironside, who have worked before with the 'drivers', plays the leader of the Resistance, and came to be faced in this film, but is someone who can believe without a doubt has become the leader of the new species scavenger military, "Bale comments.

John Connor realizes the only way to deal with Skynet ever-evolving combat strategies to fight them where they live: in the very heart of Skynet. Marcus and can be the key to infiltrate your network. "Connor has this incredibly hopeless task," says Bale. "Of course, you have some weapons, but it's just like throwing sticks and stones at a fortress ... with the exception of this character of Marcus. So Connor has to make this extraordinary leap of faith and break all the rules it has set for itself.

He knows that the machines are used the best parts of humanity against us. So how to put confidence in someone who knows a machine? "His only hope may be the self-confidence and confidence alone could be enough." What really lies humanity? "Asks the director." Is the power of the human heart? What makes us want to die for each other? That is what can not be measured by machines. "
