The New York Film Festival!

General information about communications

Film Festival New York is open to all cinema tickets, regardless of experience. Please note, however, that tickets for the Film Festival in New York (NYFF) tend to include the works of many well-established filmmakers, which means that the level of competition for a film accepted is very high . A special section is the NYFF Views from the forefront, which is released no narrative, experimental film and video. You can not submit to the principal and the Avant-Garde Festival section, you must choose one.

The deadline for submission of the New York Film Festival in July. The deadline is the date that we have received your entry. Please send the finished version of his film as scheduled. Only one version of your movie. Please DO NOT send a second copy, without taking into account changes that have been made.

Eligibility Requirements

Format of presentation is only 35 mm and HD cam.

Shooting in the work of other video formats is considered if the final format is 35mm film with optical sound composite or HD Cam.

Films being considered for opening and closing nights of premieres to North America. All other films should be the premiere city of New York. With the exception of other film festivals, films have had no notice before the public exhibition or distribution, theatrical or commercial, educational and cable television in the U.S. The Festival reserves the right to waive this rule in the case of small non-commercial exhibitions.

Films in languages other than English must be subtitled in English. Sole purpose of filing, foreign films without subtitles in English can be considered if accompanied by a list of English dialogues.

Films submitted in any previous year may not return.
