AJ's father, Mr. Ace Ventura, is lost in the Bermuda Triangle. As 12 years old 'AJ' Ventura Jr. (Josh Flitter) follows in his father's comic footsteps because pet detective. When a master animal thief abducts a baby Panda and other animals in the zoo where his mother worked, he embarks on a mission to find them. His mother is wrongly arrested for the crime and his grandfather, Rex Ventura (Ralph Waite) is asked to cover it. AJ teams with the girl next door, Laura Wilson (Emma Lockhart) and nerdy gizmo wiz-A-Plus (Austin Rogers) to find the baby panda and other animals. The thief was Mr. Quentin Mr. Pennington who stole the animals at theme parks. His son, incidentally, Quentin Pennington Jr. (Reed Alexander) had been stolen class AJ 'pets. In the end, it becomes a pretty AJ Sleuth wildlife like his father, Mr. Ace Ventura
